What does Claimhound do?

Claimhound takes two repetitive jobs off your billing team: finding out where each claim stands with the payer, and posting the payment details once the payer responds. You send the claims. Claimhound does the follow-up and returns results in a consistent format.

How does Claimhound check claim status?

For each claim, an AI agent picks the channel most likely to get a complete answer from that payer and moves to the next one if the first falls short:

• Electronic 276/277 claim status inquiries through a clearinghouse

• Payer APIs, where a payer offers one

• Payer provider portals

• Direct outreach to the payer when no electronic answer is available

What happens after the payer responds?

Claimhound normalizes every response into the same set of statuses, such as paid, partially paid, denied, pending, or patient responsibility, so your team reads one format instead of one per payer. On the line-level tier it also parses EOB and 835 ERA details and posts payments, adjustments, and denial codes into your billing system.
